Marion, Ind. - The NAIA announced today that 381 women's track and field athletes have been named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, or Academic All-Americans.
A trio of DSU student-athletes claimed the honor. Jennifer Hartman (Jr., Miles City, Mont.), Franzi Schmid (Sr., Kircheim, Germany), and Tina Marie Soto (Sr., Upland, Calif.) were amongst the 381 women recognized.

Hartman and Soto are competing in this week's NAIA Women's Outdoor National track and Field Championships in Marion. Hartman is a competitor in the triple and long jump events; Soto will run the marathon.
