Marion, Ind. - Tina Marie Soto (Sr., Upland, Calif.) of DSU has earned the NAIA Champions of Character Award. This prestigious honor is presented to athletes competing in the national championships that exemplify and promote the NAIA's Five Core Character Values on their team, campus and community.

The 5 NAIA Core Values are: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership, and Sportsmanship.

Soto will race in the marathon at this week's NAIA Outdoor Women's Track and Field National Championships.
