 GAME 1:

The Dickinson State University Blue Hawks began game one of four off on the wrong foot. The Blue Hawk hitters tallied 1 run on 5 hits. Zach Griffith lead the way going 2-4 with a double and a run scored. Travis Setere, Jacob Muir, and Erik Bastio added one hit apiece with Bastio recording the long RBI. The Blue Hawk Hitters also stranded 6 runners on base. Ryan Crossingham went 6 innings allowing 7 earned runs on 11 hits while walking 6 batters and striking out 8. Crossingham is now 0-2 on the young season. The Blue Hawks committed 2 errors in the contest. The Yotes defeated the Blue Hawks 10-1.

GAME 2:

C.J. Ketron earned his first start and win of the 2012 season in game 2 against College of Idaho. Ketron allowed 1 run in the first inning and shut down the Yotes the remainder of the game. Ketron threw a complete game allowing 1 run on 3 hits while walking 3 batters and striking out 2. The Blue Hawk hitters tallied 4 runs on 9 hits in game 2. Jon Mendoza lead the way going 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI's and a run scored while Justin Elizondo was 2-4 with a double and a run scored. Derek Carley added a hit with an RBI while Erik Bastio had a single with 2 runs scored. Travis Setere and Ryan Risse also added a single in the contest. The Blue Hawks defeated the Yotes 4-1.

GAME 3:

A two-out, two-run single from Brock Murphy in the eighth inning provided the winning run, as Dickinson State rallied for a 5-3 victory over The College of Idaho at chilly Wolfe Field. The Blue Hawks got a two-out single from Zach Griffith and Erik Bastio walked. A passed ball moved the runners to second and third, with Murphy lining the base hit up the middle, erasing a 3-2 C of I lead. Jon Mendoza followed with an RBI double to deep left center field to make it 5-3. It was enough for Tanner Newman, who tossed a complete game - allowing single runs in the first, fourth and sixth innings. The righty allowed nine hits, walked one, and fanned five. DSU drew even in the fourth on a Murphy RBI single. Following a 42-minute delay due to a hailstorm, the Yotes regained the lead on a bases loaded double play grounder, but a Travis Setere RBI single evened the game in the fifth. The Blue Hawks added 3 runs in the 8th inning to seal the deal. The Blue Hawk hitters tallied 13 hits in the contest.

GAME 4:

The Dickinson State University Blue Hawk Baseball team could not finish off the weekend by winning the series in game 4 against college of Idaho. The Yotes defeated the Blue Hawks 10-3 knotting the series at 2-2. Conor Hartz took the losing in game four allowing 7 runs on 9 hits in 3 innings pitched. The Blue Hawk hitters were shut down with only 3 runs on 6 hits. The Blue Hawk defense committed 2 errors in the contest.

The Dickinson State University Blue Hawk Baseball team will travel to Tucson, AZ on Saturday March, 10th to play 10 games in 5 days in the Tucson Invitational Games. The Bluw Hawks play Monday through Friday with a double header each day.
