
Kristen Fleury begins her second season at the helm of the Blue Hawk softball program in 2011.
In 2010, Coach Fleury guided Dickinson State to the NAIA National Championship Tournament, a DAC Conference Championship, and was the architect of DSU's 32-14 season. She was named DAC Coach of the Year for her efforts.
Prior to Fleury's appointment to the head post, she served as an assistant coach of the Hawks for two seasons.
In Fleury's two years as an athlete with the Hawks, she started 90 games at third base. Her .353 career batting average helped DSU to 2007 and 2006 DAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships. Dickinson State were 2007 Region III Champions and finished in the "Elite 8" at NAIA National Tournament. In 2006, the Hawks finished as Region III Runner-Up. Fleury was a First Team All-DAC selection in both 2007 and in 2006.
Prior to Dickinson State, Fleury attended West Valley Junior College in Saratoga from 2003-05 where she helped the Vikings to a pair of 3rd place finishes in the state championships. In 2005, she was named to the All-Coast Conference Second Team.
A native of San Jose, California, Fleury graduated from Dickinson State in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in University Studies with minors in Coaching and Sociology. Fleury is working towards a masters degree in coaching from Adams State College (Colo.).
