DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State dropped both of its games to Grace University on Wednesday (Mar. 19). The Blue Hawks fell in game one 5-1, before falling in game two 12-1. Dickinson State is now 3-16 overall.
Grace tallied three times in the fourth to jump out to a 3-0 lead, before Dickinson State would get on the board.
Brendan Hardaway went the distance for the Blue Hawks. He tossed seven innings and allowed five runs on ten hits. He struck out four hitters. Bisson notched two hits and drove in the lone run for Dickinson State. Jordan Tescher, Jeff VanCleave, Ryan Risse,Caleb Burgard, and Lane each recorded a hit.
Grace got the better of the Blue Hawks again in the back end of the doubleheader. In the second and fifth innings Grace erupted for four runs. They also tallied one in the first, one in the third, and two in the sixth.
The Blue Hawks tallied their lone run in the second. Lane reached on a walk and advanced to third on an error. Bisson singled to left to drive in Lane.
The Blue Hawks will be back on the field on Thursday (Mar. 20) when they play Doane College and Grace University.
