Chad MacKay Signs to Catch for the Blue Hawks

DICKINSON, ND- Head Baseball Coach Jason Watson is pleased to release the signing of Chad MacKay from Miles Community College.

Chad attended Bozeman High School in Bozeman, MT where he participated in baseball and football. MacKay has spent two years as the starting catcher for the Miles Community College Pioneers.

Chad has been named to the Region IX All-Academic team as well as the Mon-Dak All-Conference team in 2014.

MacKay is the son of Lance and Angie MacKay and the brother of Josh and Elizabeth.

"I chose to sign at Dickinson State University because I have heard great things about the baseball program and DSU also offers the degree that I am studying," said MacKay.

"Adding Chad to our program is a huge addition for us. We will be losing our starting catcher (Ryan Risse) who has almost caught every game in his four years at DSU. Bringing in a seasoned catcher to fill that spot is very beneficial for our program," said Head Baseball Coach Jason Watson.
