DICKINSON, ND- Nick Meyers, from Ridgecrest (CA), has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Dickinson State University.
Nick graduated from Sherman E. Burroughs in Ridgecrest, CA and has played two years of Junior College baseball at Cerro Coso Community College in Ridgecrest, CA.
Meyers earned 2011-2012 First Team All-Foothill Conference as well as 2012-2013 First Team All- Foothill Conference for his contributions at Cerro Coso CC.
Nick enjoys taking walks, going to the beach, hanging out with friends and cooking while his favorite quote is "I do not have friends, I have family."
In high school, Nick helped lead his team to the playoffs for the first time in five years, Burrough's first playoff win in 10 years, and since his graduating class the Burrough's baseball team has made the playoffs every year.
Nick's parents are Tim and Leslie and he has an older brother, Timothy, and a younger brother, Josh.
"I chose to sign with Dickinson State because it is a great opportunity to earn my degree and play the game I love," said Meyers.
"I am very excited that Nick decided to become a Blue Hawk. With his experience in baseball, he will be able to jump right in and help us compete at a high level and he will be able to help our younger players develop," said Head Baseball Coach Jason Watson.
