DICKINSON, ND- The Dickinson State University Baseball team finished up their 2015-16 fall season on Sunday with two losses to the University of Jamestown to finish 5-5.
The weekend of September 19th and 20th the Blue Hawks traveled to Winnipeg on Saturday and Mayville on Sunday. Dickinson State Swept the University of Winnipeg in a double header 15-9 and 8-1. GM 1 Box Score GM 2 Box Score The following day, the Blue Hawks were swept by Mayville State 0-5 and 0-8 GM 1 Box Score GM 2 Box Score with the Blue Hawks finishing 3-3 in their first six games.
Dickinson State finished up their fall season on Sunday, October 4th when they hosted the University of Jamestown who swept the Blue Hawks 0-9 and 2-7 GM 1 Box Score GM 2 Box Score with the Blue hawks finishing 5-5 in their fall season.
"I feel that playing fall baseball was very positive for our program," stated Dickinson State University Head Baseball Coach Jason Watson. "Playing in the fall allows our players to hit the ground running right as school starts where they have the ability to build team camaraderie right away." "It also allows me as a coach to see what our guys are capable of and also see what we players we need to bring in at semester time to fill some depth chart holes."
Dickinson State will open up their 2016 spring season against the University of Minnesota- Crookston in a four game series on March 5th and 6th. The location of this game will be decided at a later time.
