DICKINSON, ND- Former Dickinson State University Baseball All-American, Jordan Tescher, signed a professional contract to play baseball for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks announced the signing of Jordan Tescher on Friday.
"I remember when I just wanted a chance to play college baseball, just a chance, now I have a chance playing professionally," stated Tescher. "I am very thankful for all of the support that I have received over the years and I hope that I can continue to fulfill my dream of being a professional baseball player."
Tescher, a Beach native, played college baseball for Dickinson State where he completed his career on a high note. In his senior year this spring, the infielder earned NAIA first-team and all-American honors and was third in the nation with a .448 batting average, and led the NAIA with a .891 slugging percentage. Tescher also recorded 74 hits, 52 RBI, 16 home runs, 13 doubles, nine stolen bases and six triples.
"We are very excited for Jordan," said Dickinson State University Head Baseball Coach Jason Watson. "Jordan is a tremendous baseball player but he is even a better person. He comes from a great family and has the work ethic second to none. All of us here at Dickinson State University wish the best for Jordan in his professional baseball career."
