DICKINSON, ND- Dickinson State University Head Baseball Coach, Jason Watson, is pleased to announce the signing of four more players to the 2016-17 Blue Hawk Baseball team.
Oldham is a 6'1" Pitcher and First baseman from Kennewick, Washington. Trevor is a transfer from Blue Mountain Community College and attended Southridge High School.
"I am excited for the opportunity to continue playing baseball and further my education at Dickinson State," stated Oldham.
Oldham plans to major in Business Management at Dickinson State University.
Trevor is the son of Rich and Melissa Oldham.
"Trevor is a very good athlete who can help us in the field and on the mound. He is a competitor and will do what it takes to get the job done," said Watson.
Brescia is a 6' Utility player from Mountain Home, Idaho. Danny is a transfer from Treasure Valley Community College and attended Mountain Home High School.
"I chose to sign with DSU because its a new experience and North Dakota looks beautiful. I am also ready to play ball for a great team and a great school," stated Brescia.
Brescia is undecided on what major he plans to persue at Dickinson State University.
Danny is the son of Dave and Karen Brescia.
"Danny is an all-around player. He can play pretty much any position and is very quick on the base paths. He will be able to track balls in the outfield, cover ground on the infield and improve our small-ball game," said Watson.
Gonzalez is a 6' Infielder, Outfielder and Left-handed Pitcher from Moreno Valley, California. Kristian is a transfer from Arizona Western College and attended John W. North High School.
"Dickinson State University seems like a great place to continue my baseball career and finish up my degree," stated Gonzalez.
Gonzalez plans to major in Biology at Dickinson State University.
Kristian is the son of Ronald Gonzalez.
"Kristian is a very strong guy who has the ability to hit the ball out of the park on every swing. He also will be a great addition to our pitching staff," said Watson.
Schoffstall is a 6'3" outfielder from Peoria, Arizona. Sean is a transfer from Glendale Community College and attended Liberty High School.
"I had an opportunity to play baseball at DSU and also had a friend that played for the Blue Hawk baseball team and said he loved it," stated Schoffstall.
Schoffstall plans to major in Business at Dickinson State University.
Sean is the son of Rick Schoffstall, Jane Schoffstall and Theresa Schoffstall.
"Sean is a very fast outfielder who has a great nose for the ball. With his tall frame, he has a lot of power behind his throws and swings," said Watson.
The Blue Hawks open their 2016-17 season on Sunday, September 11th when they host Mayville State University at 12:00 PM (MDT) on Astoria Field. Dickinson State will then travel to the University of Jamestown on September, 18th before returning home for their final home series on September, 25th when they host the University of Winnipeg at 12:00 PM (MDT) on Astoria Field. The Blue Hawks will finish up their fall season on Sunday, October 2nd when they travel to Valley City State University.
