Davis inked for football and baseball in 2014-15

DICKINSON, N.D. – Head Football Coach Pete Stanton and Head Baseball CoachJason Watson are pleased to announce Jonathan Davis has signed a national letter of intent to play football and baseball for Dickinson State in 2014-15.  

Davis hails from Lead, S.D. were he attends Lead-Deadwood High School.  He was a tri-sport athlete competing in football, baseball, and soccer. 

On the pitch he was a three year letter winner and named the 2012 offensive player of the year.  He was also named to the 2012 All-State 2nd Team.

On the diamond Davis was a three year letter winner on the mound.  In 2013 he earned an all-state selection.  In both 2012 and 2013 Davis was a Post 33 Invitational All-Tournament Team selection.  Davis was also a 2011 Ben & Jerry's All-Tournament Team member.

Davis was named the Special Teams Most Valuable Player during his time on the football team.  The kicker also earned honors as the State Farm Player of the Week.

Not only did Davis excel in athletics, but he was also a four year honor roll student.
