Dickinson, ND -- The Rocky Mountain Battlin' Bears came out on all cylinders against the Blue Hawks on Saturday, October 26. The Bears took home a 45-7 victory over DSU. The lone DSU touchdown was on a 56 yard pass from sophomore Thad Lane to junior Josh Borm with four and a half to play in the first quarter. The Blue Hawks fall to 1-8 overall and 0-8 in Frontier play. Rocky is now 6-2 on the year.
Rocky Mountain junior quarterback Bryce Baker had four touchdowns on the day, including one rushing touchdown. Sophomore quarterback Chase White also threw for one touchdown. Baker was 14-for-23 on the day with 138 yards. Senior Clint Linthicum led the ground game for the Bears with 92 yards on 24 carries. Sophomore wide receiver Andre McCullouch had six catches and one touchdown reception. Tanner Hunt and Brendon Johnson both recorded sacks. Travis Bertelsen and Josh Graham had one interception apiece.
Freshman quarterback Kaler Ray had six completions in 15 attempts for 96 yards. Thad Lanewas three of five for 77 yards and one touchdown. On the receiving end, sophomoreWyatt Mirich had four catches and 56 yards. Josh Borm's lone catch was good for 56 yards and a touchdown. Junior half-back Myren Moore had 10 carries for 29 yards. On the defensive side of the ball for the Blue Hawks sophomore linebacker Matt McCoy had two sacks and 12 tackles.
The Blue Hawks will be back on the field next week, as they head to Eastern Oregon. That game is scheduled for 1 PM.
