DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State University Head Football Coach Pete Stanton is pleased to announce six more players have signed national letters of intent to play for the Blue Hawks in 2014-15.
Kye Erickson is a 5-foot-9 wide receiver and defensive back from Hettinger, N.D. He was named an all-region defensive back in 2012 and 2013 and named to the North Dakota 9-man Shrine Game.
Ethan Gjovig is a 6-foot-2 offensive lineman from Crosby, N.D. Gjovig was an all-region selection in both his junior and senior seasons. His junior year he helped lead Divide County High School to a state runner-up finish. During Gjovig's senior campaign he was a Shrine Bowl selection.
Drake Babineaux hails from Crosby, N.D. as well. He is a 6-foot-1 linebacker and plays tight end offensively. His senior year he was an all-region and all-state selection. Babineaux also earned a selection to the Shrine Bowl.
Kirby Cagle is a 5-foot-10 linebacker from Wheatland, Wyo., where he was an all-conference linebacker and running back.
Matt VandBossche hails from Lusk, Wyo. He is a 5-foot-10 running back and was a two-time Wyoming Super25 selection. He was also a two-time all-state selection.
Jeff Wilson is a 6-foot-4 offensive lineman from Sturgis, S.D. He was a tri-sport athlete and earned all-conference honors his junior year.
"We are very excited to add these guys to our program," Stanton said. "They are very athletic guys who will help us be a better program in the future. We are continuing to build our numbers and quality at several positions, and this is a group that is indicative of that. They have been very successful high school players that come from great programs, so we are certainly elated to have them join us."
