Blue Hawks Add VandeBossche for 2015

DICKINSON, N.D.  Dickinson State football is pleased to announce Derick VandeBossche has signed a national letter of intent to play in fall of 2015.

VandeBossche is a 6-foot-1 athlete out of Lusk, Wyoming.  He attended Niobrara County High School.  His brother, Matthew, currently plays at Dickinson State.

VandeBossche is a three-time All-Conference and three time All-State player.  He is a Casper Star Super 25 First Team selection.  VandeBossche was also named the 1A State Defensive Player of the Year and the 1A East Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

During his senior, VandeBossche rushed for 1,500 yards and 24 touchdowns.  He also recorded 106 tackles and three interceptions.

"We are extremely pleased to have Derick join the Blue Hawk family," Head Coach Pete Stanton said.  "He is a very good player who is capable playing a number of spots on either side of the ball. He is explosive and fast on offense, and has great pursuit and tackling instincts on defense. His father Matt was his high school coach, so he was well taught and comes from a great program. He was heavily recruited by several schools. He will be a great addition to our program."

He is the son of Karla and Matt VandeBossche

Dickinson State looks to build on its 7-4 season in 2015.
