DSU Football Holds Blue and Gray Scrimmage

DICKINSON, ND- The Dickinson State University Football team held their traditional Blue and Gray scrimmage on Saturday, August 15th.

"I thought the scrimmage went pretty well," said Head Football Coach Pete Stanton. "Our returners seen a few series while our newcomers seen most of the time which allows for us coaches to evaluate their progress."

The scrimmage consisted of around 60 plays and also seen some special teams plays from punt, punt return and field goals.

Seth Moerkerke, Robert Sterling, and Haize Weber all seen time at the quarterback position each seeing around two to three series.

"I feel that our Quarterbacks did pretty well with executing our offense during the scrimmage," said Offensive Coordinator Jace Schillinger. "Majority of our base plays and formations are in so it was good to see them run the offense in a game like situation.

The Blue Hawks open the 2015 season on Saturday, August 22nd as they host the University of Montana- Northern in a non-conference game at 6:00 PM (MDT).
