Colter Peterson Signs with Blue Hawk Football

DICKINSON, ND- Dickinson State University Head Football Coach Pete Stanton is excited to announce the signing of offensive lineman Colter Peterson.

Colter is a 6'4" 265 pound lineman from Joliet, Montana.  Peterson was an All-Conference offensive and defensive lineman his junior and senior seasons while playing for the J-Hawks.

The Blue Hawk coaching staff has taken notice of Peterson since his junior year, as he came to the Blue Hawk Football Camp the past two summers.  The Blue Hawks weren't the only coaches and schools taking notice, as Colter had offers from three Frontier Conference schools.

Colter was named to the Academic All-State teams during his high school career, as well as being chosen team captain his junior and senior years.  He was chosen as the lineman of the year the past three seasons as well as being the team's defensive MVP this past fall.

Colter will major in Agriculture while at Dickinson State University.  He is pictured with his mother Shelly.

Colter Peterson said, "DSU has a quality football program with great people, everyone treats you as family.  I know I couldn't go wrong with the decision to attend Dickinson State University."

"Colter is a guy we had our sights on for a long time.  He has a great frame and the mentality to go along with it that will make him successful as a college offensive lineman.  He is very passionate about playing and working hard and this will serve him well in our program.", said coach Pete Stanton.
