Blue Hawk Football signs Karsten Mack

DICKINSON, ND- Dickinson State University Football is proud to announce the signing of Karsten Mack.  Mack is a 5’10” 180 pound running back from Trinity High School in Trinity, Texas.

Mack was a standout running back for the Tigers.  He is a three-time All-District running back and earning All-State honors his senior season.  His sophomore season he was named the districts “Newcomer of the Year”, after rushing for 1,482 yards and 11 touchdowns.  His junior year the Tigers were District Champions and Mack rushed for 1,401 yards and 18 touchdowns.  In his senior campaign Mack was named the District’s Offensive Most Valuable Performer after rushing for 2,107 yards and 34 touchdowns.  He averaged 192 yards/game.

In his prep career for the Tigers, Mack racked up over 6,000 all-purpose yards and 64 touchdowns - 4,990 of those yards were rushing yards.

Mack is also a stand-out basketball player, being named 1st team All-District Point Guard his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.  He helped the Tigers to back-to-back District Championships.  Mack is also a star track & field athlete, he has been a two-time regional finalist in the triple jump.  He won the district triple jump his sophomore and junior years, going 45’ feet for a career best.  He will also jump for the Blue Hawk Track & Field team.

He has put up some incredible numbers in high school.  In addition, he is an outstanding defensive player. We emphasize recruiting 3 sport athletes and Karsten fits that mold as well. He is an outstanding basketball player and has some great marks in track and field.”, said Blue Hawks Head Coach Pete Stanton.
