    The Blue Hawks (16-12, 9-5 DAC) got the weekend off to a great start when they defeated South Dakota Mines 79-62. Conference leading scorer Nate Lebsock poured in 16 points in the win while John Hanstad and Matt Lee chipped in 15 and 13 respectively.

    Three of the premier teams in the Dakota Athletic Conference will be showcased this weekend at Scott Gymnasium when the Jackets from Black Hills State and the Hardrockers from South Dakota Mines come knocking on the door. Black Hills State (21-5, 10-2 DAC) and South Dakota Mines (17-9, 9-3 DAC) currently rank first and second on the men's side.

    The men of Dickinson State completed the regular season sweep of rival Minot State on Wednesday by a score of 86-65. The Blue Hawks (15-11, 8-4 DAC) shot 67 percent in the first half, going 6-8 from beyond the arc. Nate Lebsock scored 17 of his game-high 26 points in the first 20 minutes.

    Dickinson State University athletics is entering a new frontier -the Frontier Conference. The University was extended a verbal invitation to join the conference today. DSU's invitation comes after making a panel presentation in Billings, Mont., to conference members on Monday and Tuesday.
