Blue Hawks fall to Bulldogs, 91-68

DICKINSON, N.D. – The Blue Hawks fell to the University Montana-Western on Saturday (Feb. 8), 91-68.  Dickinson State is now 7-17 on the season with a 2-10 mark in Frontier Conference play.

Jake Owsley led Western with 21 points, followed by Maazin Butler (14), Tyler Miller (11), and Jordan Overstreet (10).  Kris Castro led the Bulldogs with nine rebounds.  Owsley registered four blocks and one steal.  Butler picked up a team high five steals.  The Bulldogs finished with 37 rebounds, 15 assists, seven blocks, 11 turnovers, and a shooting percentage 49.

Junior Tevin Russell and freshman Jacob Volk led the Blue Hawks with 15 points each.  Junior Mackenson Odenier notched a team high six rebounds.  Senior center Carl Dynnesonpicked up five rebounds.  The Blue Hawks finished with 35 rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and four steals.

Dickinson State will be back on the court Saturday (Feb. 15) when they host Carroll College for Senior Night.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
