Minot, ND – Dickinson State University fell in an exhibition game to Minot State University on Tuesday night, 77-52.
Minot State had an eight point lead at the half, before outscoring Dickinson State 38-21 in the second. Thomas Korf led the Beavers with 18 points, as Minot improved to 2-0 on the season. Samuel Johnson picked up 13 points, and Lazar Boskovic chipped in 12. Johnson had a team high 13 rebounds. The Beavers totaled 43 rebounds and shot 50% from the floor.
The Blue Hawks saw contributions from nearly everyone on the roster, including 23 points from the bench. Senior forward Phillip Johnson and junior guard Tevin Russell led the team with nine points each. Junior forward Marko Potkonjak had a strong outing off the bench, as he chipped in eight points and a block. Potkonjak was 5-for-7 from the field, including making two three pointers. The Blue Hawks brought in 22 rebounds and had five blocks.
Dickinson State will play another exhibition on November 17, as they travel to Northern State University. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
