Blue Hawks fall to Jimmies, 73-64

Jamestown, ND – The Blue Hawks were on the wrong end of a 73-64 finish at the University of Jamestown.  Dickinson State is now 1-4, while Jamestown fought back to 4-4.

The Jimmies were led by Matt Wingo, who scored 16 points, and Mark Hoge who scored 15.  Brequan Tucker chipped in 12.  Wingo was also the Jimmies' leader in rebounds with nine.  Overall, Jamestown brought in 40 rebounds, had eight steals, and shot 45.2% from the floor.

Dickinson State senior Tevin Russell had a game high 17 points and senior Brock Boosadded 11.  Junior center Mackenson Odenier led the Blue Hawks with seven rebounds.  Senior forward Isiah Thomas picked up four offensive rebounds, a team high.  Odenier and freshman Jacob Volk each had a block, while Odenier also picked up two steals.  The Blue Hawks totaled eight steals, two blocks, 37 rebounds, and shot 40% from the floor.

Dickinson State will have some time off before the Milanovich Classic, which starts on November 29.  The Blue Hawks open the tournament against Valley City State University.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
