Dickinson, ND – The Blue Hawks couldn't figure out the Comets on Saturday (Nov. 30), as they fell 74-66. Dickinson State is now 2-5 on the season.
Dickinson State went into the locker room trailing by eight points, before roaring back in the second half to tie things up with 15:15 to play. The Comets wouldn't allow the Blue Hawks to gain momentum, as they would push to a 66-55 lead. Mayville State would come away with the win, 74-66.
Michael Lindsay led the Comets with 21 points. Charlton Wilson and David Olson both scored 12 points. Lindsay shot 70% from the floors. The Comets finished with 10 steals and 42 rebounds.
The Blue Hawks were led by junior Tevin Russell, who tallied 16 points. Senior Ty Ackelsonbrought in 13 points of his own. Junior center Mackenson Odenier led all players with 30:14 on the court. Odenier had 10 points and five rebounds. The Blue Hawks finished with 42 rebounds, six steals, and five blocks.
Dickinson State will be back on the court Monday (Dec. 2) as they host Rock Mountain College in a Frontier Conference matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
