Blue Hawks open Wesmen Classic with 83-79 loss

WINNIPEG, Manitoba – The Blue Hawks dropped their first game of the Wesmen Classic on Saturday (Dec. 29) to Regina, in an 83-79 match.  Dickinson State is now 4-7 on the season.

Regina was led by Brandon Tull who knocked down 21 points.  Jeremy Zver picked up 15, while Brandon Hebert and Ryan Delwo each had 11.  Zver led with nine rebounds.  Regina finished 42 total rebounds, 26 turnovers, and a 50 shooting percentage.

Junior center Mackenson Odenier had a career night, picking up 21 points to lead the Blue Hawks.  Junior Tevin Russell pulled in 17 points and five rebounds.  Not only did Odenier lead in points, he also led in rebounds with nine.  The Blue Hawks shot 38.6% from the floor, had 42 rebounds,  and tallied 16 steals. 

The Blue Hawks will be back on the court Sunday (Dec. 29) as they continue play in the Wesmen Classic.
