DICKINSON, N.D. – The Blue Hawks fell to the University of Great Falls on Friday (Jan. 17) in a Frontier Conference matchup, 88-80. Dickinson State is now 6-12 on the year and 1-5 in Frontier contests.
The University of Great Falls had five players with 10 or more points. Marcel Towns led the offense with 20 points, followed by TJ Harris who recorded 16. Both Shawn Williams and Naren Maynard picked up 12. Reid Tramelli added 10 points of his own. Maynard's 12 points and 11 rebound earned him a double-double. Williams led the Argos with four assists. Great Falls finished with 11 assists, two blocks, eight steals, 32 rebounds, six turnovers, and a 47.5 shooting percentage.
Junior Tevin Russell led the Blue Hawks with 23 points and eight rebounds. Senior guardTy Ackelson notched 17 points, while senior Brock Boos added 11 of his own. SeniorCarl Dynneson made his first appearance of the season, recording six points and five rebounds in 22:57. Dickinson State finished with 30 rebounds, three steals, 17 assists, and a shooting percentage of 52.7.
The Blue Hawks are back on the court Saturday (Jan. 18) as they play Rocky Mountain College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
