Russell's double-double not enough as Diggers down DSU, 84-64

DICKINSON, N.D. – Tevin Russell recorded a double-double, but the Diggers got the best of Dickinson State on Saturday (Jan. 11), 84-64.  Dickinson State is now 6-11 overall and 1-4 in Frontier games.

Adam Greger and Bryan Bock recorded 18 points for the Diggers, leading Montana Tech's offense.  Travis Peevey and Antonio Snow followed closely behind scoring 16 and 15 points respectively.  Bock led the Diggers with eight rebounds. Montana Tech finished with 41 rebounds, 13 assists, 15 turnovers, and a shooting percentage of 44.3.

The Blue Hawks offense was led by Russell (13 points, 10 rebounds) and juniorMackenson Odenier (15 points).  It was the first double-double of the season for Russell.  Senior Ty Ackelson picked up 12 points and four rebounds.  The Blue Hawks finished with 36 rebounds, eight assists, three blocks, and a shooting percentage of 38.9.

Dickinson State will be back on the court on Jan. 17 when they travel to the University of Great Falls.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
