DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State University Head Men's Basketball Coach Justin Wetzel is pleased to announce Curtis Redd has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Blue Hawks in 2014-15.
The Denver, Colo. native will join Dickinson State from Lamar Community College. Redd graduated from Overland High School, where he was named first team all-centennial league, second team all-city Aurora, and was an honorable mention for the all-state Colorado squad. He also helped lead the Blazers to sweet sixteen appearances during the postseason.
"What we like most about Curtis is his defensive mentality and toughness, two things that will be a foundation for our success, Wetzel said. "He will also bring some additional athleticism to the wing position. With Curtis Redd we are fortunate to add another great person and player to this recruiting class."
Redd is the son of Curtis and Carol Redd. He has one brother, Caleb, and intends to major in political science.
