GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Blue Hawks will travel to Grand Forks, North Dakota on Friday (Dec. 19) to play NCAA Division I opponent North Dakota in an exhibition. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
The Blue Hawks have met North Dakota six times all-time. North Dakota is 6-0 in those meetings and 4-0 at home. The last meeting between two was on Dec. 17, 2008. North Dakota slinked by with a 63-58 victory during their first transition season to Division I (2008-09).
North Dakota will enter Friday's contest after finishing a seven game road stretch, in which they finished 2-5. They picked up wins over Alabama State (75-68) and Drake (63-62). In their last game, North Dakota was decisively defeated by North Dakota State 71-42.
The Blue Hawks are coming off of a 106-78 victory over Oglala Lakota College on Dec. 8. Currently, Dickinson State is 5-7 on the season and 5-3 in the last eight games.
