Russell and Donaldson Earn All-Conference Awards

JAMESTOWN, ND- Dickinson State University Men's Basketball Seniors Tevin Russell and Connor Donaldson have earned all- conference for their efforts in the 2015 NSAA season.

Earning a sopt on the 1st Team All- Conference is Senior Guard from San Antonio, TX., Tevin Russell. In 10 conference games, Russell averaged 15.9 points per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field and averaged 5.1 rebounds per game. In Russell's three year career at DSU, he has played in 60 games while scoring 816 points, grabbed 316 rebounds, with 134 assists and 67 steals.

“Tevin has been a big part of this program for 3 years and in the first year of our staff you couldn’t ask for a better person to handle the transition.  He is a great basketball talent but a better person," said Head Coach Justin Wetzel.

Earing 2nd Team All- Conference is Senior Center Connor Donaldson from Edmonds, WA. In 10 conference games, Donaldson averaged 13.4 points per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the field with 6.3 rebounds per game. 

“Connor was a big part of the success in building the foundation for years to come, he presence in the locker room and on the court will be hard to replace.  I couldn’t be happier for him to end his college career with this well deserved honor," said Head Coach Justin Wetzel.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) is pleased to announce the 2014-15 Men's Basketball All-Conference selections and postseason awards.

Jamestown (N.D.) and Dakota State (S.D.) shared the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Men's Basketball regular-season title with a 7-3 conference record.  The Trojans earned a 66-65 thrilling victory at Jamestown in the NSAA Men's Basketball Championship game.  Alan Magnani of Jamestown was selected as the NSAA Men's Basketball Coach-of-the-Year.

Brequan Tucker of Jamestown was picked as the NSAA Men's Basketball Most Valuable Player-of-the-Year.  Andre Gibson-Starks of Presentation (S.D.) was awarded as the Defensive Player-of-the-Year.  The Newcomer Player-of-the-Year award goes to Bryant Allen of Dakota State.
