HAVRE, MT- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team fell to the Montana State University Lights on Saturday in a non-conference match up of old Frontier Conference teams.
MSU-Northern led the Blue Hawks at halftime with a score of 37-28 and outscored Dickinson State 39-37 in the final half to earn the win with a final score of 76-65.
The Blue Hawks were led by Gilberto Shojgreen Jr. with 14 points and six rebounds. Jacob Gondrezick was the only other Blue Hawk to score in double digits with 10 points. Stephon Dafney grabbed a game high seven rebounds.
MSU-Northern had four guys record double digits in scoring.
Dickinson State shot 45 percent from the field, 21 percent from three and 67 percent from the free throw line. The Blue Hawks recorded 33 rebounds, eight assists, 14 turnovers, 2 blocks and seven steals in the loss.
The Lights shot 38 percent from the field, 47 percent from three and 83 percent from the line. MSU-N finished the game with 29 rebounds, 16 assists, 18 turnovers, one block and seven steals.
The Blue Hawks are now 1-2 and 0-0 NSAA and return home on Tuesday, November 10th as they host Yellowstone Christian College at 7:00 PM (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
