DICKINSON, ND- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team lost another close game this season at the hands of the Carroll College Saints Saturday night in Scott Gymnasium.
After being down most of the first half, the Blue Hawks finished strong and took a 33-31 lead into halftime. Dickinson State shot only 39 percent from the field and 25 percent from three in the first half while the Saints shot 44 percent from the field and 46 percent from three.
Carroll College soon regained the lead early in the second half and outscored the Blue Hawks 52-42 in the second half to come away with a 83-75 win. In the second half, the Blue Hawks shot 50 percent from the field and 20 percent from three while the Saints shot 67 percent from the field and 63 percent from three.
Dickinson State finished the game shooting 45 percent from the field, 22 percent from three and 64 percent from the line while the Saints shot 55 percent from the field, 53 percent from three and 95 percent from the line.
The Blue Hawks totaled 27 rebounds, 14 assists, 10 turnovers, one block and 10 steals while the Saints finished with 33 total rebounds, 15 assists, 19 turnovers, four blocks and six steals.
Dickinson State is now 4-3 overall and 0-0 NSAA. The Blue Hawks return to the court on Friday, Dec. 4th when they host Johnson & Wales in Scott Gymnasium at 7:30 PM (MDT).
