Blue Hawks Fall to RMC

BILLINGS, MT- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team fell to Rocky Mountain College on December 29th with a score of 96-84.

The Blue Hawks took a 45-42 lead into halftime but the Bears outscored the Blue Hawks 54-39 in the second half to come away with the victory 96-84.

Dickinson State was led by Julian Vasquez with 23 points while Curtis Redd added 18 points and Brandon Ruffin scored 10 points in the loss to the Bears.

Rocky Mountain was led by Rob Nyby with 26 points while Chad Kananen added 20 points and Derek Graves finished with 17 points in the win over the Blue Hawks.

The Blue Hawks shot 45 percent from the field, 38 percent from three, 53 percent from the line, with 40 rebounds, 10 assists, 15 turnovers, two blocks and four steals.

The Bears shot 45 percent from the field, 32 percent from three, 77 percent from the line, with 50 rebounds, 16 assists, 13 turnovers, one block and five steals.

Dickinson State is now 7-6, 1-0 NSAA and will play Montana Western on December 30th to finish the Rocky Mountain College Holiday Tournament.
