Blue Hawks 2-0 in NSAA After Win Over Viterbo

LA CROSSE, WI- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team stayed undefeated in the NSAA with a win over Viterbo University on Monday night, 71-64.

The Blue Hawks found themselves down by seven at halftime with a score of 34-27 but Dickinson State came back to outscore Viterbo by 14 in the second half to earn the NSAA win by seven points.

Dickinson State had three players score in double figures. Curtis Redd led the Blue Hawks with 15 points while Reggie Fields Jr. and Julian Vasquez each added 11 points in the win over Viterbo.

The Blue Hawks shot 41 percent from the field, 29 percent from three and 64 percent from the line while Viterbo shot 30 percent from the field, 19 percent from three and 93 percent from the line in the loss to Dickinson State.

Dickinson State finished the game with 36 rebounds, seven assists, 11 turnovers, four blocks and five steals while Viterbo University finished with 44 rebounds, 11 assists, 19 turnovers, five locks and four steals.

The Blue Hawks are now 9-8 overall and 2-0 NSAA.

Dickinson State returns home on Saturday, January 16th when they host NSAA foe, the University of Jamestown, at 6:00 PM (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
