JAMESTOWN, ND- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team defeated the University of Jamestown for the second time this season on Wednesday night with a score of 82-77.
The Blue Hawks overcame a seven point deficit at halftime to beat the Jimmies and sit 4-2 in NSAA play.
Dickinson State shot 38 percent from the field and 22 percent from three in the first half while the Jimmies shot 42 percent from the field and 43 percent from three to take a 43-36 lead into halftime.
The Blue Hawks came out of halftime and outscored the Jimmies 46-34 in the second half to earn the 82-77 win at Jamestown.
Jake Hagler finished with 24 points for the Jimmies while Sam Johnson added 17 points and Brequan Tucker finished with 13 points.
The Blue Hawks finished the game shooting 44 percent from the field, 44 percent from three and 74 percent from the line with 43 rebounds, 21 assists, 11 turnovers, six blocks and five steals.
The Jimmies finished the game shooting 33 percent from the field, 35 percent from three and 86 percent from the line with 42 rebounds, 12 assists, 10 turnovers, three blocks and three steals.
Dickinson State is now 11-10 overall and 4-2 in the NSAA.
The Blue Hawks return home on Saturday as they host Valley City State University at 6:00 PM (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
