Blue Hawks Fall to Saints, 101-81

ABERDEEN, SD- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team fell to the Presentation College Saints, 101-81, on Wednesday night.

The Blue Hawks found themselves trailing the Saints from the first three made by the Saints. Dickinson State tied the game on the next shot with a three but trailed the remainder of the game.

The Saints took a 53-41 lead into halftime after shooting 49 percent from the field and 36 percent from three while the Blue Hawks shot 47 percent from the field and 38 percent from three in the first half.

Presentation College then outscored the Blue Hawks 48-40 in the second half to win the game 101-81.

Reggie Fields Jr. led the Blue Hawks with 13 points while Stephon Dafney and Julian Vasquez each added 11 points in the loss.

Donnell Minton led the Saints with 25 points while Tre Erby added 22 points and 10 rebounds. Louis Cox finished the game with 17 points and Calvin Carr recorded 14 points in the win.

Dickinson State finished the game shooting 47 percent from the field, 46 percent from three and 73 percent from the line with 38 rebounds, eight assists, 23 turnovers, one block and four steals.

Presentation College finished the game shooting 48 percent from the field, 34 percent from three and 72 percent from the line with 29 rebounds, 14 assists, 11 turnovers, two blocks and nine steals.

The Blue Hawks are now 11-12 overall and 4-4 in NSAA play.

Dickinson State returns home on Saturday to host Mayville State University at 6:00 PM (MDT).
