VALLEY CITY, ND- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team lost their final NSAA game with the Valley City State University Vikings on Wednesday night, 91-79.
With 11 minutes to go in the first half, the Blue Hawks seen their biggest lead of the game, 10 points, slip away while the Vikings took a 42-31 lead into halftime.
Dickinson State shot 30 percent from the field and 14 percent from three in the first half while the Vikings shot 38 percent from the field and 30 percent from three.
Valley City State then outscored Dickinson State 49-48 in the second half enroute to a 91-79 NSAA victory over the Blue Hawks.
The Blue Hawks finished the game shooting 38 percent from the field, 25 percent from three and 66 percent from the line with 40 rebounds, five assists, 16 turnovers, four blocks and five steals.
The Vikings finished the game shooting 58 percent from the field, 25 percent from three and 76 percent from the line with 48 rebounds, nine assists, 18 turnovers, four blocks and three steals.
Justyn Galloway led the Vikings with 17 points while Nygel Drury and Nate Vieira each added 16 points. Jayden Ferguson finished with 13 points and Ellwood Ellenson added 11 points in the win.
Dickinson State falls to 12-13 overall and 5-5 in NSAA play.
The Blue Hawks return to the court on Saturday as they travel to Bellevue University to square off with the Bruins in Omaha, NE.
