Men’s Basketball Signs a Pair of Santa Monica College Guards

DICKINSON, ND- Dickinson State Men’s Basketball Coach, Justin Wetzel, announced the signing of 6’2 guard Carter Gallo and 6’5 guard Jerry Shevlin both are transferring from Santa Monica College in Santa Monica CA.

Jerry Shevlin will also be joining the Hawks this fall.  Shevlin is a smooth 6’5 point guard who averaged 10.3ppg, 3.5 assists per game, shooting 47% from the field and 39% from three.

“We are very excited to have Jerry, we have been recruiting him for 2 years, and at 6’5 and unselfish he is going to be an asset for us on and off the court,” said Coach Wetzel.

Carter Gallo a gritty, shooting guard who avg 4ppg, 2.5 assist to turnover ratio and shot 87% from the 3pt line.  Cater is a 3.0 student in the classroom and plans to major in Business.

“Carter is a hard-nosed tough kid, he plays extremely hard on both ends, and has the ability to really heat up from the 3pt line,” said Wetzel.
