DENVER, CO- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team fell to the Concordia University Bulldogs on Friday afternoon in a non-conference match-up in the Johnson & Wales Classic held on the campus of Johnson & Wales University in Denver, Colorado.
Concordia led the Blue Hawks at halftime with a score of 33-32 and outscored Dickinson State 40-34 in the second half to earn the win with a final score of 73-66.
The Blue Hawks were led by Jake Buck with 12 points and six rebounds. Ryan Clark, Jerry Shelvin and Dontae Clark also scored in double digits for the Blue Hawks. Jake Buck and Ryan Clark each grabbed a game high of six rebounds for the Blue Hawks.
Concordia University had four players record double digits in scoring and two players with six rebounds each.
Dickinson State shot 45 percent from the field, 16 percent from three and 62 percent from the free throw line. The Blue Hawks recorded 34 rebounds, 15 assists, 14 turnovers, 2 blocks and 7 steals in the loss.
The Bulldogs from Concordia shot 43 percent from the field, 31 percent from three and 76 percent from the line. Concordia finished the game with 35 rebounds, 10 assists, 15 turnovers, 1 block and 4 steals.
The Blue Hawks are now 1-2 and 0-0 NSAA and return home on Saturday, November 5th as they host Montana Tech at 6:00p.m. (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
