DICKINSON, ND – The Dickinson State University Blue Hawk Men's Basketball team rolled to a 75-49 non-conference win over the Montana Tech University Diggers behind a great overall team effort on Saturday night.
The Blue Hawks led Montana Tech at halftime with a score of 29-20 and the Blue Hawks outscored the Diggers in the second half with a 46-29 score to win the contest with a final score of 75-49.
The Blue Hawks were led in the scoring department by senior Dontae Clark with 18 points. Juniors Marcus White and Terrell Butler also scored in double digits for the Blue Hawks. Marcus White led the Blue Hawks with 9 total rebounds followed by senior Gilberto Shojgreen Jr. with six rebounds. Junior Jerry Shevlin led the Blue Hawks with a total of four assists for the game.
Montana Tech had no players score double digits and had one player with six rebounds.
Dickinson State shot 50 percent from the field, 33 percent from three and 67 percent from the free throw line. The Blue Hawks recorded a total of 37 rebounds, 17 assists, 6 blocks, 7 steals and 14 turnovers.
Montana Tech shot 36 percent from the field, 10 percent from three and 67 percent from the free throw line. Montana Tech recorded a total of 34 rebounds, 17 turnovers, 2 blocks and 4 steals.
The Blue Hawks are now 2-2 and 0-0 NSAA and return home on Thursday, November 10th as they host Rocky Mountain College at 7:30p.m. (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
