HELENA, MT- The Dickinson State University Men's Basketball team fell to the University of Great Falls on Saturday evening in a non-conference match-up held on the campus of Carroll College.
The Blue Hawks trailed Great Falls at halftime with a score of 42-38 and were outscored by Great Falls 44-39 in the second half with the final score of the game being 86-77.
The Blue Hawks were led by junior Jerry Shevlin with 19 points. Juniors Ryan Clark, Terrell Butler and Marcus White also scored in double figures for the Blue Hawks. Junior Marcus White led the Blue Hawks in the rebounding department with a total of 9 rebounds. Senior guard Dontae Clark led the Blue Hawks with 4 total assists for the game.
Great Falls had five players record double digits in scoring and two players with eight rebounds each.
Dickinson State shot 51.1 percent from the field, 30 percent from three and 65.7 percent from the free throw line. The Blue Hawks recorded 33 rebounds, 13 assists, 15 turnovers, 4 blocks and 3 steals in the loss.
The Argos from Great Falls shot 48.5 percent from the field, 40.9 percent from three and 52.4 percent from the free throw line. Great Falls finished the game with 37 rebounds, 17 assists, 7 turnovers, 0 blocks and 9 steals.
The Blue Hawks are now 3-4 and 0-0 NSAA and return home on Tuesday, November 22nd as they host Yellowstone Christian College at 7:00p.m. (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
