DICKINSON, ND – The Dickinson State University Blue Hawk Men's Basketball team fought to a 69-61 non-conference win over the Yellowstone Christian College Centurions on Tuesday night.
The Blue Hawks lead Yellowstone Christian College at halftime with a score of 39-29 and the Blue Hawks were outscored by the Centurions in the second half 30-32 but win the contest with a final score of 69-61.
The Blue Hawks were led in the scoring department by juniors Marcus White and Ryan Clark with 17 points each. Junior Terrell Butler also scored in double digits for the Blue Hawks with 11 total points. Ryan Clark led the Blue Hawks with 10 total rebounds followed by Marcus White with 8 rebounds. Marcus White led the Blue Hawks with a total of 3 assists for the game.
Yellowstone Christian College had two players score in double digits and had one player with six rebounds.
Dickinson State shot 44 percent from the field, 25 percent from three and 48 percent from the free throw line. The Blue Hawks recorded a total of 41 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 block, 8 steals and 14 turnovers.
Yellowstone Christian College shot 45 percent from the field, 36 percent from three and 64 percent from the free throw line. Yellowstone Christian College recorded a total of 31 rebounds, 18 turnovers, 1 block and 6 steals.
The Blue Hawks are now 4-4 and 0-0 NSAA. The Blue Hawks next home game will be on Saturday, November 26th as they host Johnson & Wales University at 7:00 PM (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
