DICKINSON, ND- The Dickinson State University Blue Hawk Men's Basketball team fell to North Star Athletic Association rival Jamestown University on Friday night.
The Blue Hawks trailed the Jimmies at halftime with a score of 26-46 and the Blue Hawks were paced by the Jimmies in the second half with a 38-38 score to lose the contest with a final score of 64-84.
The Blue Hawks were led in the scoring department by junior Marcus White with 17 points. Senior Reggie Fields Jr. also scored 15 points for the Blue Hawks. Marcus White led the Blue Hawks with 13 total rebounds. Reggie Fields Jr. also pulled down 5 total rebounds for the Blue Hawks. Senior Jake Buck led the Blue Hawks with a total of 2 assists for the game.
Jamestown University was led by senior guard Logan Brown with 14 points. Senior guard Jake Hagler contributed 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Four other players scored in double digits for the Jimmies in the win.
Dickinson State shot 36 percent from the field, 11 percent from three and 69 percent from the free throw line. The Blue Hawks recorded a total of 41 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 blocks, 4 steals and 10 turnovers.
Jamestown University shot 48 percent from the field, 57 percent from three and 61 percent from the free throw line. The Jimmies recorded a total of 41 rebounds, 1 block, 9 turnovers, 11 assists and 5 steals.
The Jamestown University Jimmies with the win climb to record of 16-13 overall and 10-5 in North Star Athletic Association conference play.
The Blue Hawks are now 19-10 overall and 10-5 in NSAA play. The Blue Hawks next home contest will be on Saturday, February 18th, 2017 as they host North Star Athletic Association opponent Presentation College at 5:00p.m. (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
