Harper finishes tied for 12th at Klosterman Spring Classic

JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The Blue Hawks finished sixth on the men's side at the Klosterman Spring Classic at the Jamestown Country Club.

After the first round Austin Harper found himself in third place with a score of 75.  Harper shot an 81 in the second round to finish at 156 and in a tie for 12th overall.  Daniel Thompsett (Rocky Mountain) held on to capture the win, shooting a 70 in the second round.

"The difference was Austin's putter," head coach Thadd O'Donnell said.  "He lipped out of about five holes."

Mary Hlebechuk finished up eighth overall.  She shot 88 on the first day and followed it with a 93 on day two.  Katy Peterson (Rocky Mountain) won the women's overall with a combined score of 153.

"Mary lost a bit of confidence in her driver and on this course it is tough.  It is a very narrow course," O'Donnell said.
