Men's Rodeo Finishes 3rd at Brookings- Two Titles in a row for Entze

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Evan Entze picked up right where he left off last fall when he won the Bison Stampede to close out the first half of the rodeo season.

Entze jumped out and won the first round of the Jackrabbit Stampede handily with a 4.0. His 4.7 in the short go was good enough for second in the round and blew away the field in the average.

Blake Smith came back solid in the bareback riding after being sidelined with a shoulder injury for most of the fall season. Smith marked a 72 and a 71 to take second in both rounds and the average.

Tyler Thorson rounded out the scoring for the men’s team, coming back eighth in tie down roping, he improved to second in the short go and third in the average.

The Blue Hawk men were third as a team behind South Dakota State and Black Hills State.
