DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State had an impressive showing at the Bobcat Open on Friday (Feb. 21).
Breyan Miller finished first in the men's 200 with a time of 21.77. The 21.77 mark is the fastest 200 that Miller has recorded this season.
Nathan Magstadt set a career best in the men's 400 with a time of 49.59, finishing second, but missed the B standard by .09 seconds. Magstadt met the A standard in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.21 seconds.
Dante Carter was second in the men's 800, posting a time of 1:52.69. Carter missed setting a Dickinson State record by .09 seconds.
Dustin Sandbak hit the A standard in the men's 800 with a 1:54.98 time and finished fifth overall.
Andrew Knebel won the men's high jump clearing 6-9.
Brady Sundheim finished second in the men's triple jump, finishing at 47-6.
Brittany Young earned a trip to nationals after hitting the A standard in the women's 800-meter run. She finished in third place with a time of 2:17.53.
Hailey Schaper placed third in the women's high jump with a height of 5-3.
Alysse Charlesworth finished third in the women's triple jump (34-7).
The Blue Hawks will compete again on Thursday (Mar. 6) when they head to the NAIA National Championships.
