Shroyer, Schillinger Named Interim

DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State University Director of Athletics Tim Daniel is pleased to announce Ben Shroyer has been named the Interim Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach and Jace Schillinger has been named the Interim Men's and Women's Track and Field Coach.

"We are excited to have both Jace and Ben continue to work within our programs in expanded capacities," Daniel said.  "We appreciate their willingness to step up and serve in their respective roles.  I have every confidence that our programs are in good hands and will continue to succeed.  Both Jace and Ben understand the long history of Dickinson State cross country and track and field.  They will be great leaders to carry on our long tradition of success."

Schillinger previously served as the assistant track and field coach during the 2013-14 season.  He currently serves as the associate head football coach.

"I am truly excited about the opportunity and also being able to continue to work with really good student athletes who are exceptional human beings," Schillinger said.  "We have a tremendous group of Assistant Coaches that will make this process seamless.  After being a part of the program for a few years I fully understand the pride and tradition that was set in place and hope to continue that going forward."

Shroyer serves as the Biesiot Activities Center event and conference coordinator. He has completed four marathons, including the 2009 Boston Marathon where he finished in the top 3.5%.  Shroyer attended Cedarville University (Ohio) where competed on the cross country and track and field teams.

"Our goal is to win the North Star Athletic Association championship each year and compete at the national level," Shroyer said.  "I have a passion for endurance running and hope that I can give back a little bit to the sport that has given so much to me throughout the past 10 years."
