Eddie Meneses & Jose Chorro Named All-Americans, Lead Blue Hawks at National Meet

GULF SHORES, AL- (Complete Results) The Dickinson State University Men's and Women's Track & Field teams competed at the 2015 NAIA National Track & Field Meet Thursday through Saturday.

The Blue Hawks were led by Eddie Meneses who finished seventh in the Marathon with a time of 2:38:59.4 earning All-American status.

Jose Chorro was also named All-American in the 110 Meter Hurdles after he finished eighth with a time of 14.55.

Breyan Miller finished 10th in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 10.54 and also finished 12th in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 21.46.

The 4x100 Meter Relay team of Chorro, Edison Clarke, Garreth Kerr, and Miller finished 16th with a time of 41.44.

Tommy Sease finished 13th in the Decathlon, running the 100 Meter Dash (11.85), 400 Meter Dash (52.03), 1500 Meter Run (4:35.49), and the 110 Meter Hurdles (16.60). In his field events he competed in the Long Jump (19' 9.75"), High Jump (5' 10.50"), Shot Put (36' 9.50"), Discus Throw (113' 1"), Pole Vault (11' 1.75"), and the Javelin Throw (135' 10.25").

Paitton Herbst finished 17th in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 123' .25".

Whittney Leuenberger finished 21st in the Discus Throw with a distance of 135' and 23rd in the Shot Put with a distance of 39' 2.25".

Abby Honeyman finished 29th in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.23.

Congratulations to the Blue Hawks on a great Outdoor Season that was topped off with both men's and women's teams winning the NSAA Conference Track & Field Meet.
