DICKINSON, ND- DSU Track & Field Coach Jace Schillinger is pleased to announce the signing of Cory Rebel of Richardton-Taylor High School who has been one of the state of North Dakota’s best jumpers the past couple seasons.
Cory is four-time state placer in both the long jump and triple jump. He holds the Raiders school record in both the Long Jump (22’4 ½) and the Javelin (166 feet). This past spring at the State B Meet Rebel placed in both the Long Jump (5th) and Triple Jump (6th). Besides being a track standout, he has also been an All-Region performer the last two seasons on the football field. Rebel was selected to play in the North Dakota Shrine Bowl this summer.
“We are thrilled that Cory decided to come to Dickinson State University. He has a great future in the jumps. He’s a great competitor that will make an immediate impact in the jumps on our team. He has been one of the most consistent jumpers the past two years in the state. He also has some versatility as he throws the javelin almost 170 feet. Once again, it is nice to get a kid from right down the road that understands what our program and school is about,” said Coach Schillinger.
