Eddie Meneses Named NSAA Male Track Athlete of the Week

MADISON, S.D. – Eddie Meneses of Dickinson State (N.D.) was chosen as this week North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week, the fourth edition was announced Tuesday by the conference office.  There were no nominees for the NSAA Men's Outdoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week.

Eddie Meneses – Dickinson State (N.D.) – Senior – Las Vegas, Nev. – Redshirt senior Eddie Meneses of Dickinson State (N.D.) qualified for the 2015 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in men's marathon after competing in the half-marathon at the 106th Drake Relays.  He finished 13th overall out of 543 runners in the men's division with a time of 1 hour, 13 minutes and 31 seconds (5 minutes and 37 seconds average mile pace).  His performance placed him second out of 58 runners in the 20-24 years old age group.  He was also the second overall non-professional finisher in the race.

Looking Ahead
Jamestown (N.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.) compete in the make-up meet at the Concordia-Moorhead Twilight meet Tuesday (today). 

Dakota State (S.D.) will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. Friday and Saturday to participate in the 90th Annual Howard Wood Relays.

Dickinson State (N.D.), Jamestown and Valley City State will head to Moorhead, Minn. on Saturday to compete in the Ron Masanz Invitational.
