Spearfish, SD- The Dickinson State Men's Track and Field Team won five events at the Black Hills State Season Opener led by Breyan Miller winning the 100 and 200 Meter Dash.
Miller won the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 10.83 seconds while fellow Blue Hawk Gerreth Kerr finished second with a time of 11.29 seconds. Miller also won the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 21.50 seconds.
Jose Chorro won the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 14.79 seconds.
Miller (200m dash) and Chorro (110m hurdles) each qualified for Nationals.
The Men's 4x100 Meter Relay was won by Dickinson State runners Chorro, Kerr, Mason Frank, and Miller with a time of 42.02.
The Men's 4x400 Meter Relay was also won by Dickinson State runners Tommy Sease, Chorro, Zelmon Knowles, and Delano Lilly with a time of 3:26.40.
Other Top Five Performers:
Men's 800 Meter Run- Jonathon Aman 2:02.10 to finish fourth.
Men's 5000 Meter Run- Eddie Meneses 16:41.87 to finish fifth.
Men's 400 Meter Hurdles- Ryan Jones 55.56 seconds to finish second.
Men's High Jump- Josh Torgerson 1.84m (6' 00.5") to finish fourth.
Men's Shot Put- Jeff Fisher 13.44m (44' 1.25") to finish fifth.
The DSU Men's Track and Field Team travels to Aberdeen, SD on April 10th to compete in the Northern State University Track and Field Open.
