ELSAH, IL- The Dickinson State University Men's Cross Country team finished 31st of 36 teams at the NAIA National Cross Country Meet on Saturday, November 19th.
Christopher Moreno led the Blue Hawks with a 114th place finish with a time of 26:05.90, Tristen Guillot finished 173rd with a time of 26:28.70, Ernest Franssen III finished 255th with a time of 27:11.50 and Daniel Aguirre finished 258th with a time of 27:15.6.
Christopher set yet another PR in as many races this season for the Blue Hawks. Trey broke the 28:00 barrier for the first time and was our #5 runner, also a first for him. Tristen had a 41 second improvement today from his time at nationals in 2015.
"Our men's total team time and top 5 average time this year was just 37 seconds and seven seconds slower (respectively) than what we did at the national meet in 2015, hence our very similar overall team place/finish," stated DSU Head Cc Coach Ben Shroyer. "I am pleased with our men's performance today as we had so many new guys on the team this fall and many who had to step-up and get familiar with racing an 8k. A job well done for the men in 2016!"
